For this class, we are meeting back in the library.  Jim will show us some hands on editing for your Wikipedia project so please feel free to bring your laptops.  If you do not have a laptop, be prepared to takes notes.  This class will be very beneficial to you and will save you a lot of time and frustration.

You must complete the survey.  It is part of your participation grade.

Welcome to LIBS101

Welcome to LIBS101 – Library and Internet Resources.  This 1-credit course is being offered in Spring 2011.  The first class meeting is on Wednesday, January 12th from 10AM to 10:50AM in Simpson Library 225.

Course description:
Introduction to college library resources with an emphasis on techniques of research, particularly on the World Wide Web. Students learn the basics of library and information literacy and become proficient in finding, using, and evaluating information in both print and electronic formats.

Put simply, we will learn best practices for doing academic research using resources found through the library and on the web.

I am looking forward to the semester.  See you January 12th!
